Private where honesty matters.
This policy explains data handling for the Man of the Word iPhone app, listed on the App Store as Live Like a Man - Bible App, and this product website.
Plain-language summary
Pressure choices, daily practices, evening reviews, private notes, Bible bookmarks, reading position, reminders, and the seven-day record stay on your iPhone by default. We do not use them for advertising, sell them, or send them to website analytics.
The app has no user account, no cloud formation backup, no advertising SDK, and no active Private Brother transport. This product website does not run Tepesoft analytics or session-replay scripts.
Data kept on your device
The app stores the information needed to provide its daily and Bible features locally:
- the pressure or life-season path you select;
- the practice you choose and whether you reviewed, practiced, or repaired it;
- private notes you write;
- Bible bookmarks, reading position, search state, and text-size preference;
- reminder settings and the calendar-safe seven-day record; and
- local subscription access state derived from Apple-verified transactions.
The app does not transmit this formation data to Tepesoft, RevenueCat, advertising networks, or marketing analytics. iOS may include app data in an encrypted device backup according to your Apple backup settings; Apple controls that service.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Apple processes App Store purchases, billing details, refunds, and subscription status under Apple's policies. The app uses StoreKit 2 verified transactions as the on-device authority for Plus access.
RevenueCat synchronizes subscription entitlements and receives an anonymous RevenueCat app user identifier, App Store receipt or transaction information, purchase history, and limited device or app technical information needed to operate and diagnose the subscription service. We use RevenueCat for app functionality and subscription analytics.
- We do not attach your name, email, prayer, note, pressure, practice, review, Bible activity, or advertising identifier to the RevenueCat record.
- We do not use RevenueCat data for cross-app tracking or advertising.
- A RevenueCat outage or stale record does not revoke access that Apple still verifies on the device.
See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy for their independent practices.
Support and feedback
If you email us or use the feedback form, we receive what you choose to send. This can include a feedback category, message, optional name and email, app version, iOS version, and optional image or video attachments.
Please avoid sending prayers, integrity concerns, family details, private notes, or other sensitive information unless it is necessary to solve the issue. We use support information to reply, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, protect the service, and improve the product. We do not use support content for advertising.
Website and security logs
This product website does not load Tepesoft's audience analytics or Microsoft Clarity session replay. The web server may temporarily process and log an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device user agent, referrer, and response status for delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
The feedback form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from automated abuse. Cloudflare may process network, browser, and interaction data under its own privacy policy. Turnstile is loaded only on the feedback page.
Sharing
The app shows a preview before opening the native iOS share sheet. Private notes and review details are omitted by default. Once you choose another app or person in the share sheet, Apple and that recipient or service handle the shared card under their own policies.
Private Brother transport is not active. No brother invitation, identity, consent record, or accountability message leaves the device in the current release.
Retention and deletion
On-device app data
On-device formation and Bible data remains until you delete it in Settings → Delete local data or remove the app, subject to any Apple device backup you control.
Purchase records
Apple and RevenueCat retain transaction information under their legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, and service requirements. Tepesoft cannot erase Apple's transaction record.
Support messages and logs
We keep support messages and attachments only as long as reasonably needed to answer, diagnose recurring problems, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Routine server logs are retained for a limited operational period and then deleted or rotated.
Choices and rights
- Export a readable copy of local app data from Settings → Export my data.
- Delete local app data from Settings → Delete local data.
- Choose whether to share a previewed card and which app receives it.
- Manage or cancel Plus in Apple subscription settings.
- Ask us to access or delete support information that can reasonably be identified as yours.
Email oz@tepesoft.com for a privacy request. We may need to verify the request without asking for unnecessary sensitive information.
Children
Man of the Word is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Do not send a child's personal or sensitive information through the support form.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when app features, vendors, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will change when the policy changes materially.
